PGN-based engine and environmental parameters decoded from NMEA 2000 networks. Uses 29-bit extended CAN IDs at 250 kbit/s. Multi-packet Fast Packet reassembly is performed on-gauge.
NMEA 2000 uses 29-bit extended CAN IDs. The PGN (Parameter Group Number) is embedded within the 29-bit ID — the gauge extracts it automatically. Some PGNs span multiple CAN frames (Fast Packet protocol) and are transparently reassembled on-gauge before decoding.
