How to Firmware Update - OTA (Over the Air)

How to firmware update your KrispyGauge via the Over the Air upgrade process.

Updating Firmware (OTA)

Firmware updates are done wirelessly from your phone or laptop. Takes less than 5 minutes.

Before you start: back up your config under Advanced → Backup, and keep the ignition on for the whole update.

1. Download the firmware

Grab the latest .bin file from krispygauge.com/firmware.
You may need to register your gauge if you have not done so already, this can be done using your serial and email.

2. Connect to the gauge

Turn on the ignition, then join the gauge's WiFi hotspot:

  • Network: Krispy_XXXX (shown on the gauge at boot, or under Menu → Info)
  • Password: GetKrispy

Not showing? Enable WiFi on the gauge: Menu → WiFi → Enable.

3. Open the Web UI

In your browser go to http://4.3.2.1 — type it in full, including thehttp://.

If it won't load, turn off mobile data, try a different browser, or a different device, some devices treat hotspot configuration differently and may change at any time.

4. Upload and flash

Open Firmware Update, tap Choose File, select the .bin, then tap Upload & Flash.
On IOS/Android this is usually under FIles > Downloads.

5. Wait for the reboot

A progress bar appears on the gauge for 30–60 seconds, then it reboots on its own. Don't turn off ignition, start the car or unplug the gauge while this update is in progress and rebooting.

If it fails

Just try again — select the file and tap Upload & Flash a second time. This is normal and usually works on the retry.

If the gauge won't boot or the Web UI is unreachable, email [email protected]or try USB recovery via krispygauge.com/firmware
