How to Factory Reset Your KrispyGauge (3 Ways)

A factory reset puts your KrispyGauge back to its default settings. There are three ways to do it — from your phone, from the gauge itself, or with the ignition key if nothing else works.

Back up first if you can. A reset clears everything: pages, channels, warning thresholds, colours, keypad mappings and ECU type. If you can still reach the gauge, take a backup under Advanced → Backup before you reset.

A reset does not change the firmware. The gauge stays on the version it's running — only your settings are cleared.

Method 1: from the Web UI

The easiest way if you can still connect.

1. Connect to the gauge and open http://4.3.2.1.
2. Go to Advanced.
3. Choose Factory Reset and confirm.

The gauge clears its settings and restarts.

Method 2: on the gauge

No phone needed — do it on the gauge itself.

1. Go to Menu → Info.
2. Press and hold for 5 seconds.
3. Confirm when asked.

Method 3: ignition key cycle

The fallback for when you can't reach the Web UI or the Info page — for example if the gauge is stuck on a page, the touchscreen isn't responding, or you've locked yourself out. It doesn't need the screen at all.

1. Turn the ignition on for 2 seconds, then off.
2. Do this ten times.
3. On the next start, the gauge goes straight to the reset screen.
4. Confirm the reset there.

After a reset

The gauge starts with default settings, so you'll need to:

• Set your ECU type under Settings — first, because changing it later wipes your settings again.
• Restore your backup under Advanced → Restore, or set up your pages again.
• Check your keypad identity if you run more than one gauge on the bus.

When a reset won't help

If the gauge won't start at all, or none of the three methods work, the firmware itself may be the problem. That needs USB recovery rather than a reset.
